Women's Ice Hockey

The Women's Ice Hockey Club was officially recognized in November of 2006. We are open to students of all ability who share the love of the game. We are currently composed of players from all skill levels--from girls who have been skating since they learned how to walk to girls who had to learn to skate once they joined! We are hoping to join the NEWCHA league in the near future and are gaining experience through scrimmages until our finances allow us to join. We are still very new and are looking for support of any kind. If you are interested in joining our team, supporting us, or looking to set up a game please contact our presidents at gsuwomenshockey@yahoo.com or wihc@geneseo.edu.

If your interested in playing, don't be afraid to come down. We'll teach you everything you need to know, and a lot more. Here is our specific website: http://www.geneseo.edu/rugby

Geneseo Cheerleading Team

Cheerleading

The Geneseo Cheerleaders support Geneseo Athletics. We perform during Men's and Women's Basketball games and aim to attend Hockey, Lacrosse, and Soccer competitions. We are looking forward to participating in Cheerleading Competitions next year!

Try-outs are held during the first weeks of the Fall semester. Although we look for a co-ed team, squads of the past few years have been all-female.

Our season begins immediately after try-outs, as we prepare for MidKnight Madness, which is the beginning of the NCAA Winter Sports season (mid October). The season continues as we follow the Winter Sports schedule until Basketball ends in February or March.

Practice times vary each semester, depending upon class schedules. Practices for Fall 2000 - Spring 2001 season were Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 - 10 PM.
