I am so excited to join the Department of International Student & Scholar services this year! Working as administrative staff at a university is what I would like to do for the rest of my professional career, so this is a wonderful opportunity for me that will give me great experience in the field. I look forward to getting to know the students and their unique cultures, as well as learning skills in university admissions.

I am an extremely proud alumna of SUNY Geneseo. I graduated from this university in 2011 and am so happy to be back. I had an amazing four years here, and am pleased to now serve a place that provided me with lasting friendships and a fantastic education. As a Geneseo student, I was very active on campus. The best way to have a fulfilling university experience is to get involved in some of the many student organizations that Geneseo offers. The main two organizations that I enjoyed were the Royal Lady Knights (RLK), which is a social and community service sorority, and The Lamron, which is Geneseo's student-run newspaper. Being a part of these organizations made me feel at home at Geneseo because they gave me a sense of belonging, activities to do in my free time, and the opportunity to meet many friends.

My incredible experience at Geneseo led me to pursue the Higher Education field as a career. I love the university environment and wish to play a part in helping other students enjoy their time at university as they learn and grow, both socially and academically. After I graduated from Geneseo, I went on for my Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at the University at Buffalo. In this program, I learned a great deal about how universities operate, student development, and how to be an effective professional in the field of higher education. I also had several work and internship experiences while in graduate school that introduced me to a wide variety of students. My favorite work experience before coming to Geneseo was in the summer of 2012, when I worked for Housing & Conference Services at the University of Alaska Anchorage. There I enjoyed supervising my student workers and exploring the great state of Alaska after work each day! I look forward to more travel experiences in the future, and really beginning my professional life.
