Hometown: Middle Village, NY
Major: Communicative Disorders and Sciences
Minor: None
Expected Graduation Year: Spring 2013

Experience:

-I am in my fourth year at Geneseo and I am proud to call it my second home! When I visited Geneseo as a senior in high school, I knew that this would be the school for me. The campus is beautiful (especially during the fall and spring) and the students are friendly and welcoming. I couldn't be happier here!

-This is my second year working as a student worker in the International Student & Scholar Services Office. I am very excited to meet the new students and be a part of the summer orientation for the fall 2013 class!

-I currently live off campus in the town of Geneseo. In my freshmen year, I lived in a corridor-style dormitory in Onondaga Residence Hall on the Southside of campus and in my sophomore year I lived in a suite-style dormitory in Ontario Residence Hall on the Northside of Campus.I think that living on campus is great way for new students to become involved on campus and meet new people that attend Geneseo. If you think you may be interested in living on campus, I can answer any questions you may have.

Activities:

  - One reason that I love Geneseo is because it offers a variety of clubs, service organization, and activities to do for everyone. I am a member of Autism Speaks, NYSSLHA (New York State Speech Language Hearing Association), Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Eta Sigma, and Golden Key International Honor Society. I also am a Teaching Assistant for two Communicative Disorders and Science classes. In addition to being a Teacher's Assistant, I am a "Speech Buddy". "Speech Buddies" is a program offered to ESL and International Students that may be having trouble with writing papers or may want to improve their English. If you are interested or have any questions about "Speech Buddies", I would be happy to answer them!

  - I am also a member of a social-service organization on campus, called the "Royal Lady Knights" (or RLK). I became a member of the organization in fall 2010 and I think it has been one of the best decisions I have made in Geneseo.  Through this organization, I have had the opportunity to make lifelong friends and become more involved on campus and take part in different service projects.
