Computer Access Policy

Policy on Milne Library Public Access to Electronic Information Resources & Desktop Computers

As part of its mission to the community, Milne Library will provide free on-site access to electronic information resources (including Internet access) and Desktop Computers to registered on-campus guests who are in good standing with the College.

By registering as a guest borrower and/or by filling out a Computing Access application form, the holder agrees to be bound by the SUNY Geneseo policy on college-provided access to electronic information, services, computing facilities, and networks. Printed copies of this policy are available at the Service Desk in Milne Library.

Failure to comply with the policies and regulations that govern the use of the Library’s and College’s Internet access and personal computing resources may result in immediate suspension of Internet access and, where necessary, civil liability and/or criminal prosecution.

You may fill out a Computing Access application form at the Service Desk. Please bring a form of photo ID with you. Applicants under 18 must fill out and return a completed Parental Permission for Computing Access by Minors form, available at the Service Desk.

To use a computer, please visit the service desk, show your Computing Access Card and ask someone at the Service Desk to log you in.  Only desktop computers can be used.  Milne Library is unable to loan out netbook computers to guests.

Guest Printing:

Guest print jobs must be picked up at the Service Desk for $.10 a page. Color pages are $.50 per page and may also be picked up at Service Desk.
