Cortland responded with an 11-0 run of their own to lead 53-38 and Geneseo got no closer than nine points the rest of the way. The contest was originally scheduled for 8 p.m., was pushed back to 9 p.m. due to the weather-related travel restrictions and did not start until after 10 p.m. due to the first semifinal game between #2 Oneonta and #3 New Paltz going four overtime periods. Geneseo completes their season with a record of 16-11, doubling their win total after an 8-18 campaign in 2008-09.
