Senior Abby Hungerford scored her fourth goal of the game with 5:37 remaining, but Geneseo could not get equalizer in a 10-9 loss at RIT this afternoon. Geneseo led 6-4 at intermission and sophomore Kim Magee's goal at 23:07 of the second gave the Knights a three-goal advantage. The Tigers erupted for four straight scores, including three in a 20-second span, to lead 8-7 with 12:03 remaining. Junior Anna Hutchings, who collected four groundballs and four draw controls, scored her lone goal of the game with 7:44 to play to tie the game at eight. RIT took the lead with 7:03 left and got the eventual game-winner with 6:11 to play. Junior Lauren Burgoon scored one goal with three assists, first year Lea Paris scored once and scooped five groundballs and first year Rachel Petrone netted one goal. Junior Annie Smith stopped 12 shots in taking the loss in nets as Geneseo falls to 2-1 on the season. The Knights travel to William Smith on Saturday.
