The women's lacrosse team dropped their third straight game as they fell at St. Lawrence this afternoon by a score of 16-13. St. Lawrence jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Geneseo responded by scoring seven of the next eight goals on the way to a 9-4 lead at intermission. St. Lawrence outscored Geneseo in the second half, 12-4, including the initial four goals of the second stanza. Senior Abby Hungerford scored four goals to lead the Blue Knights, while Tara Murphy and Casie Damore netted two goals each. Junior Anna Hutchings had a goal, assist, five draws and four groundballs and classmate Lauren Burgoon contributed a goal and an assist. Junior Annie Smith made 12 saves in taking the loss in nets, while Cassie Broton and first years Lea Paris and Rachel Petrone chipped in with one goal each. The Blue Knights fall to 2-3 on the season and host Oneonta in the home opener on Friday at 4 p.m.
