Women's Tennis

The women's tennis team hosted Division I St. Bonaventure this afternoon and defeated the Bonnies by a score of 5-4. Geneseo won two of the three doubles matches to take the lead as sophomores Melissa Baker and Lauren Johnson won 8-5 at second doubles, while senior Anna Lehet and first year Sarah Shields captured third doubles, 8-3. In singles, Lehet won her fourth singles thriller, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), Shields captured fifth singles, 6-1, 6-1 and Johnson won at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-0. Junior Maria Barousse won at first singles and first doubles for the Bonnies. Geneseo moves to 14-1 on the season and hosts William Smith on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
