The host Brockport Golden Eagles scored three times in a three-minute span of the second half to break a 7-7 tie and went on to defeat Geneseo, 11-9. After falling behind three goals early in the first half, Geneseo erupted for five straight scores to take a 5-3 lead with 6:23 remaining in the opening stanza. Brockport scored twice to tie the game before junior Anna Hutchings scored with 1:14 left to give the Knights a 6-5 lead at intermission. Brockport scored the opening two goals of the second half before first year Rachel Petrone got her first of two goals to tie the game at seven with 11:51 left. Hutchings finished with two goals, two assists, three groundballs and two draws, while Petrone and classmate Lea Paris scored twice each. Junior Casie Damore had a goal and an assist, junior Lauren Burgoon added two helpers and seniors Tara Murphy and Abby Hungerford scored once each. Junior Annie Smith made 10 saves in taking the loss as the Knights fall to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in SUNYAC. Geneseo hosts Fredonia for Senior Day on Friday, April 30 at 4 p.m.
