The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the members of the All-SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse team on Monday and the Geneseo Blue Knights had six representatives with four on the first team and two on the second team.
Seniors Dennis Costanza and Erik Baranowski and juniors Craig Lange and Joe May repeated as first team selections, while junior Scott Cost and sophomore Jeff Watson received their first conference awards as second team players.
A 2009 honorable mention All-American, Costanza posted a .609 save percentage and 8.03 goals against average in back-stopping Geneseo to a 10-4 mark. Baranowski won 61.8 percent of his faceoff attempts (175-283) with eight goals, five assists and a team-high 124 groundballs. Lange led the Geneseo attack with 28 goals and 34 assists for 62 points. A 2009 honorable mention All-American, May collected 40 groundballs with a team-best 21 caused turnovers. Offensive midfielders Watson and Cost scored 30 points on 12 goals and 18 assists and 24 points on 18 goals and six helpers, respectively.

Junior pitcher Janine Montera, who led Geneseo with a 12-8 record and a 1.70 ERA, and first year designated player Stef Rosenberg, who hit .322 with five doubles, one triple, one homer and 13 RBI, earned first team recognition. Montera earns first team honors for the second year in a row, while Rosenberg garners her first conference award.
Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the members of the All-SUNYAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field teams on Tuesday. On the men's side, the Geneseo Blue Knights had three on the first team and five on the second team. Individual champions Wenley Louis (long/triple jump), Ken Wickey (shot put) and Lee Berube (5,000 meters) earned first team All-SUNYAC, while second place performers Nwana Okafor (long jump), Andrew Sorrento (hammer throw), Ryan O'Connor (1,500 meters), Bobby Henchen (3,000 steeplechase) and Tim Chichester (10,000 meters) claimed second team All-SUNYAC. For the women, individual champions Marissa Liberati (3,000 steeplechase) and Keisha Stokes (high jump) made the first team, while second team recognition went to runnerup performances by Rachel Serpe (pole vault), Alice Buskus (long jump), Brittany Talani (shot put), Kristin Shumway (400 meters) and Alyssa Smith (3,000 steeplechase).
