The men's soccer team grounded the St. Mary's Seahawks this afternoon on the second day of the Salisbury Tournament by a score of 2-0. Geneseo's goals came in the first half as junior Matt Solimano scored his first of the season from 35 yards out and first year Craig Schackner got his first career goal after knocking in a loose ball. Geneseo controlled play in the contest with 23 shots and eight corners to 10 shots and two corners for St. Mary's. Junior Sam Murphy posted the shutout in goal by making two saves as the Knights moved to 1-1-1 on the season. The Blue Knights host Clarkson on Friday at 4 p.m.
