The women's equestrian team hosted the Geneseo Horse Shows at Rolelu Farms on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Geneseo finished fourth of 11 teams as senior Katie Crawford and junior Katie Roberts each claimed a first place ribbon on the flat in the Open equitation. Junior Karina Stamitis and junior Julianne Batelli each won a second place over fences in the Novice class to highlight the performances for the Blue Knights. On Sunday, Geneseo finished third of 11 teams, missing second place by just one point. Senior Ashley Kresge was one of three riders to claim a first place ribbon, winning on the flat in the Novice division. Sophomore Katie Makowiec won a first in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter, while junior Caroline Patton took a first in Beginner WTC. Crawford and Roberts each won a second over fences, junior Julianne Pangal won a second over fences in the Open class, junior Erin Moran and sophomore April Krenzer each claimed a second in Advanced WTC and Casey Williamson won a second over fences in the Novice equitation. Geneseo travels to St. Lawrence on Saturday and Cazenovia on Sunday.
