Senior Alyssa Polosky scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half to lead the Geneseo women's basketball team to their 11th straight victory with a 61-52 decision over host Brockport. Polosky hit 5-12 from the floor, 3-7 from the arc and 2-2 from the line. Geneseo trailed 31-30 at intermission and 52-50 with 5:07 to play until holding the Golden Eagles scoreless for the remainder of the game. Senior Khadija Campbell scored all of her 10 points in the second half and snared 10 rebounds, senior Melissa Loughlin hit 6-8 from the field for 12 points and sophomore Melissa Graham added 11 points. Geneseo moves to 15-2 overall and 10-0 in SUNYAC play and hosts the Buffalo State Bengals on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The men's basketball team traveled to Brockport and dropped an 82-67 decision to the Golden Eagles. Geneseo trailed 43-29 at the intermission, but drew within five at 51-46 before Brockport seized control of the contest. First year Jordan Jones scored 20 points on 8-14 from the floor and 4-5 from the line, junior Abe Miller made 7-11 from the field and 3-8 from the line for 17 points with 11 rebounds and sophomore Ryan Riefenhauser added six points and seven boards. Geneseo falls to 8-9 overall and 2-8 in SUNYAC and hosts Buffalo State on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
