The men's lacrosse team, ranked 27th in this week's USILA Division III poll, dropped a 16-7 decision to #15 St. John Fisher this afternoon. Geneseo led 5-3 on a goal by junior Brendan Kurpis with 9:27 left in the second quarter, but the Cardinals outscored the Blue Knights 13-2 the rest of the way to earn the win. St. John Fisher won 21 of 26 faceoffs and posted 42 shots to just 17 for Geneseo. Kurpis finished with two goals and senior Craig Lange added a goal and an assist for Geneseo. The Blue Knights got single goals from Evan Bryant, Joe May, Ray Ryan and Tim Burgess. First year Ryan Zaremba made eight saves and allowed 13 goals in 48:56 of action and junior Noah Berg stopped four shots and allowed three goals in 11:04. Geneseo falls to 2-3 on the season and travels to RIT on Wednesday.
