Second seeded host Brockport scored a penalty kick goal at 7:06 and added an insurance score at the 66:39 mark of the second half to post a 2-0 win over the #3 seeded Geneseo men's soccer team in the semifinals of the SUNYAC tournament. Playing on the narrow area of the Golden Eagle field hockey footprint due to poor field conditions on the team's regular soccer field, Brockport took advantage of Brian Gildemeyer's long flip throws to gain several early opportunities. One opportunity led to a corner kick chance, where a Golden Eagle shot headed into the net was batted down by a Blue Knight defender, resulting in a red card and the ensuing penalty kick goal. Despite playing a player down for the next 83 minutes, Geneseo played a hard fought contest the rest of the way, holding Brockport to just six shots and one additional goal on a scramble in front of the net. Senior Sam Murphy took the loss in nets as the Blue Knights finish their season at 9-7-3.
