The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced the members of the All-Conference teams in women's field hockey, volleyball, women's soccer and men's soccer on Tuesday, November 8.
Women's Field Hockey
Sophomore defender Bridget McGovern (pictured left) earned first team All-SUNYAC and was the second consecutive Geneseo player to earn SUNYAC Player of the Year recognition, joining 2010 winner Michelle Milkovich '11. Sophomore Kayla DeAngelis, who set the school record with 17 goals this season, claimed first team honors and junior defender Rachel Atkins showed on the second team, the first All-SUNYAC honors for both players.
Senior midfielder John Piaggione (pictured left) was the lone representative on the first team All-SUNYAC squad, earning his first conference recognition as the Blue Knights had six players on the team. Senior forward Ian Mort earned his third All-SUNYAC award, joining first time recipient junior defender Rob Loccisano on the second team. First time conference All-Stars making the third team included senior goalie Sam Murphy, junior midfielder Jop Smit and first year forward Neil Allen.
Senior midfielder Bre Glynn (pictured left) earned All-SUNYAC for the third time overall and second time on the first team to highlight four players on the 2011 team. Senior forward Anne Beinetti, who broke the school record with 17 goals and tied the school mark with 38 points, earned first team, senior forward Kelly Bergin earned second team All-SUNYAC for the second consecutive year and sophomore defender Olivia Panepinto earned her first award for third team All-SUNYAC.
Senior middle Kat Stickland (pictured left) highlighted three All-SUNYAC picks with her first conference award, a first team SUNYAC West recognition. Junior libero Laura Galvin, the 2009 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, earned second team for the third time and sophomore setter Noelle Morrison, the 2010 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, earned second team All-SUNYAC for the second time.
