Senior Cara Celorio hit a two-run, inside the park homer in the top of the fifth inning to propel the visiting Rochester Yellowjackets (12-7) to a 2-0 win over the Geneseo women's softball team in the opening game of a doubleheader sweep this afternoon on the Vic Raschi Field. First year Brittany Grage walked, was sacrificed to second by Kristen Baldino and scored on Celorio's line drive down the left field line that got past the Geneseo defense and into the corner. First year Sarah Wayson allowed four hits over six innings with three walks and five strikeouts to post the win for Rochester and junior Maddie Skellie got the save by hurling a perfect seventh. Junior Mary Bostwick took the hard-luck loss for Geneseo after allowing four hits and one walk with five strikeouts and senior Kelsey Ogden went 2-3 with a walk at the plate for the Blue Knights (5-11). In the second game, Meg Hennessy, Nina Korn and Brittany Grage each hit homers as the Yellowjackets claimed a 7-6 win. Geneseo took a 4-2 lead after three innings as junior Jane LePage hit a solo homer in the first inning and sophomore Sam Trapasso belted a two-run shot in the third. Rochester scored runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 7-4 lead before Trapasso hit her second two-run blast of the game in the bottom of the seventh to make the final. Skellie got the win in relief for Rochester by pitching 6 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, four earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.
