The Geneseo women's soccer team played the visiting Buffalo State Bengals (1-6-1/0-1-1 SUNYAC) to a 0-0 draw this afternoon. Geneseo posted 13 shots to just nine by Buffalo State, however, the Bengals attempted five corner kicks to just four by the Blue Knights. Geneseo's Julia Sanger made three saves to post the shutout, while Buffalo State's Linda Banfield stopped four shots. Geneseo had the two best scoring opportunities, both coming in the first half. Senior Bethany Kwarta's low shot got past the Banfield, but was cleared off the line just before going in by a Bengal defender. Later in the half, first year Stephanie Clookey got free at the top of the penalty area and her lofted shot hit the crossbar. Geneseo moves to 0-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in SUNYAC play. The Blue Knights travel to New Paltz on Friday.

Senior Nick Voggel made two saves to post the shutout in nets as the Blue Knights move to 1-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 in SUNYAC. Geneseo travels to Alfred University on Tuesday.
