He scored his third goal of the season to open the scoring 5:28 into play, then assisted on goals by sophomore forward Justin Scharfe (Webster/Bridgewater Bandits) and junior forward Zachary Vit (Villanova, Pa./Green Mountain Glades). First year defenseman Nate Brown (Bethel Park, Pa./Bay State Breakers) picked up assists on Brickler's and Scharfe's goals.
First year forward Brent Bisdee (Ottawa, Ont./Kanata Stallions) capped Geneseo's three-goal opening period with the first goal of his career; first year forward AJ Sgaraglio (Hicksville/New York Bobcats) picked up his first career assist on the play.
Vit, who assisted on Brickler's goal, closed out the scoring with his fourth goal of the season. Brickler and first year defenseman Dennis Playfair (Buffalo/Buffalo Junior Sabres) assisted on the score; Playfair's assist was his first career point.
