Buffalo, N.Y. – A late rally by the Buffalo State women’s
basketball team gave the Bengals (7-7, 3-4 SUNYAC) a 67-62 win over visiting
Geneseo (9-5, 5-2 SUNYAC) in a State University of New York Athletic Conference
(SUNYAC) game Tuesday.
The host Bengals erased an 11-point second-half deficit, outscoring the Knights 20-9 over the game’s final 4:39.
First year forward Allison McKenna (Huntington/John Glenn) led Geneseo with 15 points – making seven of her nine shots from the floor – and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Biz Reinhardt (Rochester/Hilton) added 11 points and six rebounds and sophomore forward Shannon McGinnis (Walworth/Gananda) contributed nine points and seven rebounds.
The Knights return to conference play Friday with a 6 p.m. game at Cortland.
