Knights Split In Women's Swimming & Diving

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Geneseo women’s swimming & diving team (5-6) split a pair of meets at #7 Carnegie Mellon Saturday. The Knights beat Westminster 197-100 and lost 189-108 to the host Tartans.

Geneseo recorded three first-place finishes. Sophomore Eileen Goralski (Queensbury/Queensbury) won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:30.30

Junior Emily Wanamaker (Camillus/Christian Brothers Academy) won the three-meter diving with a score of 244.70 for her fifth win in as many events over Geneseo’s last three meets.

The Knights won the 400-yard freestyle relay with sophomore Haleigh Wixson (Montour Falls/Watkins Glen), junior Corrine Vairo (Poquott/Ward Melville),
first year Julie Holloway (Pittsford/Rush-Henrietta) and sophomore Abby Max (New Hartford/New Hartford) posting a time of 3:41.70.

Geneseo competes at Oswego Saturday.
