Geneva, Ohio – Members of the Geneseo men’s track & field team competed at the Spire Midwest Open Saturday. Highlighting the Knights’ performance at the non-scoring, multi-division meet were third-place finishes by senior Chris Carter (Grand Island/Grand Island) and junior Nate DeBoever (West Hurley/Onteora).

DeBoever set a school record in the 600-meter run, placing third with a time of 1:32.21. His performance topped the old record by 3.76 seconds.

Carter’s third-place finish came in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.60. That time currently ranks 13th in the nation.
