Plattsburgh, N.Y. – The Geneseo ice hockey team (17-9-1) lost 5-1 at Plattsburgh (19-6-1) in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship Tournament Saturday. The second-seeded Cardinals scored a pair of power play goals early in the third period to pull away from a one-goal game.

Senior forward Kaz Iwamoto (Tomakomai, Japan/Wyoming Seminary) scored Geneseo’s goal late in the second period, converting a pass from first year defenseman Nate Brown (Bethel Park, Pa./Bay State Breakers).

Sophomore Bryan Haude (Hilton/NY Wolfpack) stopped 23 shots in goal.
