Philadelphia, Pa. – Graduate student Alyssa Smith (Rochester/Brighton) of the Geneseo women’s track & field team became the program’s first individual champion ever at the Penn Relays, winning the collegiate 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:32.33. Her time is the best in Division III this season, lowering her previous best mark by seven seconds.
Junior Allison Hoh (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) posted a time of 62.52 in the 400-meter hurdles, ranking seventh nationally.
On the men’s side, senior Alex Brimstein (Webster/Thomas) recorded the nation’s sixth-fastest time in the 5,000-meter run by finishing in 14:27.23. First year Cohen Miles-Rath (Cohocton/Wayland-Cohocton) finished in 14:46.32; his time ranks 32nd in the nation this spring.
