GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Geneseo women's lacrosse team (12-5) has received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament. The Knights will play a regional semifinal game at Susquehanna (17-0) Wednesday at 3 p.m..
The Knights, who finished as runner-up in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), received one of the six at-large bids reserved for teams that did not win their conference's automatic bid.
The winner of Wednesday's game will face the winner of a regional semifinal between Bridgewater State (17-2) and host Bowdoin (13-3) in Saturday's regional final.
Geneseo will be making the program's first appearance in the NCAA playoffs. The women's lacrosse team joins the women's tennis, men's cross country and women's cross country teams as NCAA playoff participants this year.
