Weeks of Welcome Begin August 27

At Geneseo we are committed to being engaged academically, civically, and socially. At Geneseo we embrace Excellence, demonstrate Service to Society, and promote Diversity. From studying hard and looking out for our environment to looking out for each other, we stand up and are engaged.

Weeks of Welcome provide opportunities for involvement, learning and action. It is the official start of a new academic year and it is a transitional time when students become acclimated to the campus community and prepare for their academic endeavors.

Active involvement in Weeks of Welcome is one of the important ways in which new students can start to become part of the Geneseo experience. The activities offered help to increase personal connections with other students, faculty and staff and promote a sense of belonging.

The events offered help educate and provide an understanding of the importance of academic excellence at Geneseo. Attending events and activities during Weeks of Welcome is the best way to start getting the most out of the academic year.
