Symphony Orchestra, Festival Chorus to Perform All-Beethoven Concert Nov. 21

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo Symphony Orchestra and Festival Chorus are teaming up for an all-Beethoven concert Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. in the college's Wadsworth Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

On the program are "Overture to Coriolanus, Op. 62"; "Fantasy in C minor for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra, Op. 80," featuring pianist Linda Boianova from Nazareth College's Music Department; and "Finale to the Symphony No. 9 in D minor for Chorus, Soloists and Orchestra, Op. 125," featuring soprano Pamela Kurau, assistant professor of voice at SUNY-Geneseo, professional mezzo-soprano Jessica Ann Best, tenor Nathan Oakes and baritone Jimi James.

James Walker, distinguished service professor of music, is orchestra conductor and Gerard Floriano, professor of music, is director of the chorus.
