Geneseo Gives Back

Launched in 2005, the Geneseo Gives Back program is designed to reduce the waste created by the needless discarding of usable items when the residence halls close in May.

What happens to your stuff when you leave? The choice is yours. Look for our cardboard boxes and signature blue recycling containers in your residence halls.

The items donated through the Geneseo Gives Back program are sold at the annual SUNY Geneseo Interfaith Center's Tag Sale. All monetary proceeds from the sale are used to fund the Interfaith Center facility.

At the Tag Sale, community members can buy donated items at inexpensive prices. In this way, your donations both reduce waste and serve the members of the Geneseo community.

Any items unsold at the event are donated to the Geneseo Goodwill store. All food items are donated to the Geneseo-Groveland Food Pantry, located at St. Mary's church in Geneseo.
