GENESEO, N.Y. – Looking for a perfect candidate to employ?

SUNY Geneseo is seeking participants for its first Professional Job and Internship Fair on March 6. Registered employers will be able to set up tables and displays to talk directly with students about professional employment and internship opportunities. The event is scheduled from 1-4pm at the MacVittie College Union Ballroom. A catered lunch is included for employers from noon-1p.m.

"The Professional Job and Internship Fair is a cost effective way for employers to connect with a large pool of talented and motivated students of SUNY Geneseo," said Rob DiCarlo, associate director for internship opportunities. "National research shows that liberal arts students offer employers a wide range of marketable skills including working in a team, effective communication, problem solving and a willingness to think outside the box," he said.

To register:

· Visit the Career Development site, then log in to Knight Jobs to register for the fair.

· The fee for business/for-profit organizations is $150 and $100 for non-profit and government organizations. Once registration is approved, a confirmation email will be sent with parking, directions and event logistics.

Employers also are encouraged to advertise open positions with SUNY Geneseo by posting them on Knight Jobs or emailing the Department of Career Development at careers@geneseo.edu. Jobs and internships will be advertised immediately upon submission.
