GENESEO, N.Y. – A joint concert by the Geneseo Chamber Singers and Spectrum Women’s Ensemble is scheduled April 27 at 3 p.m. in the Doty Hall recital hall. The Chamber Singers and Spectrum are both directed by Gerard Floriano, professor of music at Geneseo. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Chamber Singers will feature a four part song by Franz Josef Haydn; “O vos omnes” by Pablo Casals; “A Stephen Foster Medley” arranged by Jon Washburn and featuring soloists C.J. Roche, Logan King, Sarah Fiegel, Matt Burley, Jenna Cecchini, Jane Coons, and Rahul Thandla. They also will perform “I will trust in the Lord,” arranged by Undine Smith Moore and featuring Geneseo student soloists Logan King, Rahul Thandla, and Alyssa Conte.
The Spectrum Women’s Ensemble will perform “Cantique de Jean Racine, Op. 11” by Gabriel Faure; “The False Young Man” arranged by Donald Patriquin and conducted by a student, Paul Pedziwiatr; “Angelus ad Pastroes Ait” by Juan Blas De Castro; “Farewell to the Highlands” arranged by Jachim Kelecom ; and “Psalm 13, Opus 27” by Johannes Brahms.
