GENESEO, N.Y. – An estimated 700 SUNY Geneseo alumni and friends are returning for Summer Reunion July 11-12 for a full weekend of activities and entertainment on campus and in the village.
The reunion coincides with the village's 28th Rotary Summer Festival and Geneseo Air Show, making it one of the busiest weekends of the year in the community.
All Geneseo alumni are welcome to attend the reunion, and the weekend is packed with social and educational events to accommodate alumni of all ages. The college has planned special events for class members celebrating 50 or more years. Special reunions are also being planned for Arethusa Sorority's 120th Reunion Anniversary
and Phi Lambda Chi Sorority's 50th Reunion Anniversary.
In addition to numerous social events and celebrations at the reunion, the college is conducting lifelong learning seminars, where alumni may attend special courses taught by Geneseo faculty and staff.
The annual Alumni Association Awards will be presented Saturday during the alumni luncheon at noon, hosted by Interim Geneseo President Carol S. Long.
Several entertainment offerings are scheduled throughout the weekend, including an outdoor Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra concert Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. on the Saratoga Field (rain location: Wadsworth Auditorium).
