The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the members of the All-SUNYAC Women's and Men's Indoor Track & Field teams on Tuesday and the Geneseo Blue Knights had five men's and seven women's representatives.
On the men's side, sophomore Wenley Louis, who earned Most Outstanding Male Field Performer, led a group of four men on the first team and one on the second team. Seniors Tim Chichester and Pat Gallagher and junior Eric Rickman joined Louis on the first team, while sophomore Lee Berube collected second team status.
For the women, sophomore Alyssa Smith claimed the lone first team award, while graduate student Liz Montgomery, seniors Kristin Shumway and Sandra Goettelman and first years Marissa Liberati, Rachel Serpe and Jillian Weidman received second team recognition. The SUNYAC coaches voted Geneseo head coach Dave Prevosti as the SUNYAC Men's Coach of the Year, the second time he has received this honor.
The honor comes just three days after the men's team placed first, and the women's team placed second, at the 2010 SUNYAC Indoor championship, held on February 27.
