Why is it important to contribute?

"It has always been my goal to leave my community better than when I entered it. We should all take advantage of this rare opportunity to leave a lasting, positive, legacy behind that can be utilized by generations of Geneseo students to come. As a Geneseo community we have all benefited from the generosity of others, now it is our turn to return the favor and leave our mark in Geneseo history."

"There's a certain pride to having a legacy. Typically it's not something that you create, rather something that's earned. The difference in the case of Senior Gift is that it's both-you're donating money to honor the people who have been surrounding you for your college career, the Class of 2008. Giving back means that you appreciate the people around you and the experience Geneseo has given you."

-Adam Gross '08

"When I think of my time here at Geneseo, I think of all I got out of the college; a great education, great experiences, amazing friends and new views on the world. Geneseo gave me a bunch of lemons and so I said, "I'm going to make as much lemonade as possible." I tried to get everything I could out of my college experience from Geneseo and I really think I did. When you get so much its great to try to give back, hoping that others will get a similar experience."

-Jason Dorofy '08

"It is important for me to give back to Geneseo because it's changed my life. When I graduate I will not only have a degree but new friends and a new outlook on life!"

-Shannon Baker '08

"To me giving back means leaving my mark; Senior Gift is a great way to do that. Contributing to Senior Gift is a great way to thank Geneseo for all that it has given me. At Geneseo, I've created memories that I will never forget. I'd like to make sure that future generations realize how much Geneseo matters. Giving back to Geneseo is the least the seniors could do for everything that this school has done for them."

"Geneseo has been a home to me for the past four years and as I leave it a different person than when I arrived here, I want to give back to the campus. I have learned so much about myself, made friends, and prepared for the future and I would like to give something back to the campus. By contributing to Senior Gift, I am helping to improve Geneseo for future students to enjoy."

-Katie Kelley '08

"To me, giving back is a sign that I take pride in the place that I have called my home for four years. Geneseo has given me a lot of memories, its important for me to give back so that others can also enjoy this great college for several years to come."

-Sheila Morris '08

Now that we are finally seniors, it is hard not to look back and reflect on all of the lasting memories we have made here at Geneseo. There is no doubt that Geneseo has had an effect on each and every one of us that will last a lifetime. Think of all the other lives Geneseo will touch in the future! While going to events, visiting the union, attending classes, hanging out with old friends and making new ones may affect the campus now, wouldn't it be great to leave a lasting mark on the years to come? With a contribution to Senior Gift 2008, we can be sure that our class will be remembered."

“It’s important to give back to Geneseo because it ensures that future classes will have the same or better opportunities that we have had.

"Geneseo has shaped us the way we are and bridged us to the where we want to go. Giving back to Geneseo shows our appreciation as exemplary soon-to-be alumni, but also contributes to making this an even better place for the future generations to study, live, and develop."

"I think at some point in our college career we have all benefited from a Senior Gift. Whether it be meeting a friend at the statue of Minerva, studying in the librarys comfy chairs, or looking at the new pendulum, past seniors have left their impact on us. Now is our chance to give back and have an impact on future students."
