Geneseo is advertising three statistics-related tenure track positions this year: one through the Department of Sociology, one through the Department of Psychology, and this position housed in the Department of Mathematics. Although the individuals hired in these positions will have primary responsibility to their individual departments, it is hoped that the possibilities for interdisciplinary work and the chance to develop a critical mass of students and faculty interested in and skilled with the analysis of data will lead to productive research and teaching collaborations among the three departments and across campus. The College and the Department of Mathematics are committed to supporting such endeavors.**Required Qualifications:** A Ph.D. in Statistics in hand or expected by August 2014. Recent and proven expertise as a teacher of statistics. Experience in or interest in teaching mathematics, including probability at the advanced undergraduate level. Enthusiastic commitment to undergraduate instruction at all levels. Potential for scholarly growth. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in collaborating with researchers in diverse fields. Experience mentoring undergraduates in research projects. Interest in and/or experience in working with actuarial science students.
