SUNY Geneseo calendar of events for April 13-19

THURSDAY, APRIL 13:

KINETIC GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Kinetic Gallery, on the second floor of the MacVittie College Union, presents an exhibit by seniors Cassie Hamilton and Jessica Biddle. The gallery is open Mondays 2-5 p.m., Tuesdays 12:30-5 p.m., Wednesdays 2-7 p.m., Thursdays 12:30-7 p.m., Fridays 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Saturday, April 15.

LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery, in Brodie Hall, presents the Juried Student Exhibition. The gallery is open daily from 2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, April 28.

LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the McClellan House, presents an exhibit by Chea Peng titled "Journey." The gallery is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, May 5.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15:

CONCERT: Using biodiesel fuel to travel here and offsetting its concert with wind power, Indie rock favorites Guster will make a stop at the State University of New York at Geneseo during the band's Campus Consciousness Tour. This show is the band's only performance in upstate or western New York. Teaming up with Reverb, a not-for-profit organization founded by the band's guitarist-vocalists Adam Gardner and his wife, Lauren Sullivan, Guster hopes to spread environmental awareness and inspire students to get involved with earth-friendly causes. 7 p.m., Kuhl Gymnasium, Merritt Athletic Center. Tickets are $15 for SUNY Geneseo students, $18 for Geneseo faculty and staff, and $20 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased at the MacVittie College Union Ticket Office (245-5873) or through Ticketmaster. The concert is sponsored by the college's Activities Commission Concerts.
