SUNY Geneseo calendar of events for April 6-12
THURSDAY, APRIL 6:
LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery, in Brodie
Hall, presents the Juried Student Exhibition. The gallery is open daily from
2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit
runs through Friday, April 28.
PLAY: The School of
the Arts and Veg. S.O.U.P. present the play "The Diviners." 8 p.m., Robert
Sinclair Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $5 and may
be purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833) or at the door on the night of
the performance.
FRIDAY, APRIL 7:
LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: (See Thursday, April 6).
LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the
McClellan House, presents an exhibit by Chea Peng. There will be an opening
reception from 6-8 p.m. The gallery is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and
Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through
Friday, May 5.

SATURDAY, APRIL 8:
KINETIC GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Kinetic Gallery, on the second floor of the MacVittie College
Union, presents an exhibit by seniors Cassie Hamilton and Jessica Biddle. There
will be an opening reception at 7 p.m. The gallery is open Mondays 2-5 p.m.,
Tuesdays 12:30-5 p.m., Wednesdays 2-7 p.m., Thursdays 12:30-7 p.m., Fridays 2-5
p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs
through Saturday, April 15.

PERFORMANCE: The
Limelight & Accents Performing Arts Series presents The Boston Brass. The
Boston Brass quintet is committed to setting new standards in entertainment
through its classical arrangements, vocal harmonies and jazz standards. The
Boston Brass has delivered performances featuring works from operas such as
"Carmen," "The Magic Flute" and "Candide." 8 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium.
Tickets are $5 for SUNY Geneseo students, $12 for faculty and staff, and $15
for the general public. Tickets may be purchased at the MacVittie College Union

LECTURE: A planetary
geoscientist "drawn to rocks falling from the heavens rather than to those
already underfoot," and who has authored several hundred articles about how the
solar system formed, will deliver the third annual American Rock Salt Lecture
on Geology. Harry Y. "Hap" McSween Jr., professor of planetary geoscience at
the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and co-investigator of several NASA
spacecraft missions, will deliver a lecture titled "Discoveries of the Mars
Exploration Rovers." 7:30 p.m., Newton Lecture Hall, Room 202. Free and open to
the public.
