CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR MARCH 31-APRIL 6

THURSDAY, MARCH 31:

OPUS GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Opus Gallery in the MacVittie College Union presents Amy Bocko’s Senior Show. The gallery is open daily from 1-5 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Sunday, April 3.

PLAY: The School of Performing Arts and Veg. S.O.U.P. present the play "Proof" by David Auburn. This Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play will be directed by Jenna DeAngelis. 8 p.m., Robert Sinclair Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $4 for the general public; $3 for faculty, staff and senior citizens; and $2 for SUNY Geneseo students. Tickets can be purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833).

SPORTS: Women’s Lacrosse vs. University of Rochester. 4 p.m., Saratoga Field. Free and open to the public.

FRIDAY, APRIL 1:

CONCERT: The School of Performing Arts presents the Tremont String Quartet with guest harpist Barbara Dechario. 8 p.m., Geneseo Central Presbyterian Church. Free and open to the public.

PERFORMANCE: The Limelights & Accents Performing Arts Series presents Recycled Percussion. Recycled Percussion takes everyday trash to another level using pipes, trash cans, drumsticks, power tools and anything else they can find to create an amazing show full of energy and great original music. Touring the country extensively over the last four years, Recycled Percussion has played at more than 400 colleges in 45 states, during halftime shows for the NBA and NFL, and at casinos, theme parks, fairs and festivals. Campus Activities Magazine voted the company Best Major Performing Group of the Year, Best Live Act and Best Musical Group for the second year. 8 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Tickets are $15 for the general public; $12 for faculty, staff, alumni, senior citizens and children under 12; and $5 for SUNY Geneseo students. Tickets can be purchased at the MacVittie College Union Box Office (245-5873).

TUESDAY, APRIL 5:

LECTURE: Geneseo pediatrician Dr. Arnold Matlin, the only U.S. citizen to receive the Sandinista’s highest honor — Hero of the Revolution — will deliver a lecture titled "Nicaragua: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow." Matlin will give an update on political and economic matters, U.S. policy and the Nicaraguan people. 7 p.m., Newton Hall 201. Free and open to the public.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6:

SPORTS: Women’s Softball vs. St. John Fisher. 3 p.m., Raschi Field. Free and open to the public.
