THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER
27:
MILNE LIBRARY: The Corporate and Business Partners of SUNY Geneseo are sponsoring the Heavens
Above exhibit, a series of
transparencies and interactive media from deep space captured by the Hubble
Space Telescope while orbiting the earth over the past 16 years. The exhibit will be on display from
August 27 to December 17. For more

LOCKHART GALLERY: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the McClellan House, 26 Main St.,
Geneseo, presents the Richard Beale Exhibit. The exhibit runs through Friday,
October 12. The gallery is open
noon-4 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and noon-8 p.m. Thursdays. For more information

ROBERT SINCLAIR
THEATRE: The School of the Arts presents "The Clean House," by
Sarah Ruhl, a play about laughter, death, and sisterly warfare. A Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2005, Ruhl invites her
audience to a messy universe, a "metaphysical Connecticut," where soul mates
meet, unlikely alliances are forged, and hard truths demand grace. The event,
directed by Leah Garland, begins at 8 p.m. in Robert Sinclair Theatre, Brodie
Hall, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 30.
Sunday's performance is at 2 p.m. General Admission is $7. Tickets may be purchased the week of

LEDERER GALLERY: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery, in Brodie Hall, presents the Annual
Faculty Exhibition. The show
features new work from SUNY Geneseo's School of the Arts Faculty. An opening
reception will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27. The gallery is
open noon-4 p.m. Sundays–Wednesdays and 5-8 p.m.
Thursdays-Saturdays. The exhibit
runs through Friday, Oct. 5.

DANCE THEATER: Limelight & Accents presents the Luna Negra Dance
Theater, at 8 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for 12 and under, $12 for
faculty/staff/alumni, and $15 for the general public. To purchase tickets, call the Student Association Ticket
Office at (585) 245-5873 or (800) 525-2070. The Luna Negra Dance Theater
creates, performs and teaches contemporary dance by Latino choreographers. The company's distinctive style
artfully blends ballet and contemporary dance movements strongly flavored by
Latino and Afro-Caribbean dance forms.
Luna Negra collaborates with Latino artists of other disciplines,
including visual, media artists, musicians, and composers, which fosters
cross-disciplinary explorations and results in richly textured and highly
original dance theater. The SUNY Geneseo Limelight & Accents Series is
funded by mandatory Student Association fees and coordinated by the college's
Activities Commission.
