GENESEO RESIDENT BETH VANVLIET ELECTED

TO GENESEO FOUNDATION BOARD

Foundation Re-Elects Six Board Members; Alumni, Friends and Corporations Contribute $2.1 Million in 2003-04 to Benefit College

GENESEO, N.Y. — Beth VanVliet, a 1991 graduate of the Jones School of Business at the State University of New York at Geneseo, has been elected to the Geneseo Foundation Board of Directors.

VanVliet is Sales Integration Manager for Retail Investment Management at JPMorgan Chase. Prior to her promotion to her current position, she served as Vice President for Marketing for Chase Retirement Services.

VanVliet has been an active alumni volunteer and benefactor of Geneseo since graduation. She is a member of the Geneseo Friends of Art Committee and the Blue Knights Roundtable Board, and was recognized by the Foundation as Geneseo’s Volunteer of the Year at the President’s Donor Recognition Dinner in 2000.

VanVliet and her husband, Victor, who is also a 1991 Geneseo graduate, reside in Geneseo and are parents of a daughter, Tatiana. Vic is the owner of Special Tees on University Drive in Geneseo.

In addition to VanVliet’s appointment, six current directors – Geneseo residents Joe Bucci, Ruth Linfoot, Myrt Merritt and Mike Millard, along with Avon resident Anne Bishop and Pittsford resident Ed Pettinella – have been re-elected to the Geneseo Foundation Board of Directors.

Dean Johnston of Geneseo serves as chair of the Geneseo Foundation and John Linfoot, also of Geneseo, serves as vice chair of the 25-member Board. Last year some 8,400 alumni and friends contributed $2.1 million to the Foundation to benefit the college.

The Geneseo Foundation was established in 1971 as a private, non-profit organization to accept and administer gifts from alumni, friends and corporations to benefit SUNY Geneseo.
