Geneseo Food Project veteran Stephanie Aquilina '09 returns to campus on March 2 at 4pm in Welles 123 to share her experience as Food Access Programs Manager for Cultivating Community, a nonprofit food justice organization based in Portland, Maine. The event is free and open to the public.

She will discuss her work running Cultivating Community's network of SNAP (food stamp)-accessible farm stands in low-income neighborhoods, providing marketing support for immigrant and refugee farmers, and promoting nutrition education, community partnerships, and cultural awareness into the larger food community.

Sponsored by the Geneseo Food Project, the Environmental Studies Program, and the History and English Departments.
