GENESEO, N.Y. – Cole Porter's classic musical "Anything Goes" sets sail Nov. 6 – 10 at SUNY Geneseo's Alice Austin Theatre as the Department of Music presents the popular story of madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. The Nov. 6 – 9 performances begin at 8 p.m.. The Nov. 10 matinee begins at 2 p.m.
Visiting guest artist Melissa Rain Anderson, a New York-based actor, director and acting coach, is providing theatrical direction. Katie LeSuer and Anderson are choreographing the production with musical direction by Gerard Floriano, professor of music and coordinator of musical theater.
The production features lively tap numbers, campy jokes, unlikely happy endings and eminently memorable songs like "It's De-Lovely," "I Get a Kick Out of You" and "Anything Goes," all penned by Porter, the great American composer and songwriter.
