GENESEO, N.Y. - More than 800 parents are expected to descend on the Geneseo campus Oct. 22-23 for the college's Parents Weekend program.

The annual fall event provides parents the opportunity to see the college through their student's eyes and for students to share their campus experiences. Among other activities, parents will have the opportunity to attend Parents College, where they will hear Geneseo professors discuss such topics as the geology of climate change, the physics of baseball or the ongoing relevance of the Italian poet Dante. Geneseo President Christopher C. Dahl also will deliver his annual report to parents.

"The weekend is designed to help parents discover what Geneseo has to offer in and out of the classroom," said Tammy Ingram, director of parent relations. "It's a multi-faceted program with something for all parents and we are pleased about the tremendous response."

Several fall sporting events will also be available for parents to attend, and the School of the Arts will be performing its Kaleidoscope Concert Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium, featuring virtually all of Geneseo's performing artists and ensembles. The concert is free and open to the public.
