Geneseo String Band Set for Pre-St. Patrick's Day Concert March 5

GENESEO, N.Y.-- SUNY Geneseo faculty member Jim Kimball will direct the Geneseo String Band in the group's annual Pre-St. Patrick's Day Concert March 5 at 7 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. The band includes both faculty and students and the concert will feature an evening of Irish and Scottish music and dance. Admission is $5 for the general public, $2 for students and free for children age 12 and younger. Tickets will be available at the door only.

Kimball is a folk music expert and ethnomusicologist at SUNY Geneseo, teaching students about music and musical instruments from around the world.
