Geneseo Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet to Perform Dec. 6

GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Geneseo Wind Ensemble will perform Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. The performance will also include performances by the Geneseo Clarinet Choir and Saxophone Quartet, which made their debut in November. The event is free and open to the public.

The Wind Ensemble will perform "March of Revolutionary Guard" by Smetana, arranged by Vaclav Nelhybel; "Chorale and Capricco" by Caesar Giovannini; "On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss" by David Holsinger; "A Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson; "Manatee Lyric Overture" by Robert Sheldon; and "Courtly Airs and Dances" by Ron Nelson.

The Clarinet Ensemble will perform "Shepherds Hey and Irish Tune from County Derry" by Percy Grainger, arranged by Mart Johnston. The Saxophone Quartet will perform "Grand Quartet from Flute Quartet, Op. 103" by Friedrich Kuhlau.

The Geneseo Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Music Department Lecturer Ernest Lascell.
