We hope you are finding your stride and are becoming more comfortable at Geneseo. We want to hear your feedback about January Orientation & JWOW Events, so please take a few moments and fill out the evaluation here.
Is fraternity/sorority life for you?
Since 1871, Geneseo has been the home to a variety of
fraternal organizations. Currently, 18% of our student body is a member of a
fraternity or sorority. There are 30 fraternal organizations at Geneseo of
national and local affiliations. Some focus on community service, some serve
specific professions, like business, and some are social organizations. All
fraternal organizations offer opportunities for leadership development,
community service, academic achievement, and brotherhood/sisterhood.
February
3, 2013 will begin the recruitment period for the fraternities and sororities
at Geneseo. This is a great opportunity for students to explore the variety of
"Greek" organizations on campus and decide whether or not to become a member.
In order to be eligible to join, a student must be in their second semester at
Geneseo and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. First semester transfer students with a
minimum transfer GPA of 3.5 may appeal this requirement to the Assistant Dean
of Students, Wendi Kinney. To get started, simply log into your Knightweb
account and complete the Greek Grade Release Survey. To learn more about the
fraternities and sororities at Geneseo visit:
