SchachtSchachtThe National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education has recognized a Geneseo project with its October 2010 Community Contribution Awards. "English 170: The Practice of Criticism" was one of just two recognized by the institute.

"English 170" is led by Paul Schacht, professor of English; Rob Doggett, associate professor of English; Caroline Woidat, associate professor of English; and Gillian Paku, assistant professor of English.

The award provides winners with a small honorarium and an oWoidatWoidatpportunity for project leaders to publish case studies in the April 2011 edition of "Academic Commons,"  under the theme "Digital Humanities and the Undergraduate."
