Geneseo is participating in Campus Days of Action: Immigration Reform with three initiatives.
On Thursday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m., in Newton 201, there is a screening of the film "The Dream is Now," which tells the stories of undocumented youth and their families who are desperate to earn their citizenship in the only country they've ever called home. The film is screening on college campuses and in communities across the country to raise awareness of the need to reform America's immigration laws.
On Friday, April 19, members of the campus community can sign letters to senators and congressional representatives in the Letter Writing Campaign, which will be held in the College Union lobby. Members of the Geneseo community can also sign an online petition to show support, or do so via Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #GeneseoDREAM and #TheDreamIsNow.
