The college will host a Geneseo Global World Café on Saturday, Feb. 1, to gather students, faculty and staff to discuss and brainstorm how the school can build a truly global campus.
Participants will be asked to think about how Geneseo might move forward, as well as discuss questions about their experiences and expectations about global learning, and other topics. The goal is to foster learning conversations, knowledge sharing, and new possibilities for action.
The event is part of the college's 20-month effort to comprehensively review Geneseo's internationalization efforts, as a participating college in the American Council on Education's 11th Internationalization Laboratory Cohort. Teams of faculty, staff and students from diverse disciplines are examining key areas of internationalization at Geneseo, including opportunities on campus, abroad and the college’s internal structure and support and will develop a strategic plan. Ronald Herzman, Distinguished Teaching Professor of English, and Meredith Harrigan, associate professor of communication, are chairing the effort.
• The Geneseo Global World Café is Saturday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Milne 105. Lunch is provided. RSVP to study abroad.
