SUNY Geneseo’s Department of English, The Center for Community, Black Studies, International Programs and Campus Auxiliary Services invites you to a reading by Bernadine Evaristo, the award-winning author of seven books, including her new novel, “Mr. Loverman, about a 74-year-old Caribbean London man who finally comes out of the closet.

Her writing is marked by daring experimentation and subversion of conventional Afro-diasporic histories and identities. She was made a a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2004, a Fellow of the royal Society of Arts in 2006 and she received and MBE in 2009.
