The main lobby of Nassau is pictured here. The Service Desk is located in this area, as is the Resident Director's (R.D.'s) office. Featured on the large banner is Nassau's unofficial mascot, the narwhal, as well as Nassau's motto: "Be epic."

A suite-style residence hall located in the South Village, Nassau Hall will be the home of new first-year and transfer students as well as some returning students. The layout of Nassau Hall is identical to that of Suffolk Hall.

This is a typical Nassau hallway. Nassau resembles a corridor-style residence hall in that the suites are arranged along these corridors. Most current residents feel that this arrangement of suites is helpful in meeting other people; by simply walking along the hallway, you can see who's around to invite to dinner or just to talk.

This is a Nassau Hall bedroom. You can choose to bunk your beds in Nassau -- some students discover that they prefer the additional floor space. (Ask your R.A. to file a work order for you if you and your roommate agree to bunk your beds.) Bedrooms are also furnished with 2 desks, 2 desk chairs, 2 dressers, and a lamp. Connections for cable, internet, and telephone are provided in each bedroom, as well. The bedrooms aren't carpeted for you, but you're certainly welcome to bring a carpet with you. An 8' x 10' carpet will fit all residence hall rooms.

Closets are featured in each bedroom, too. (It would be difficult to cram all of your clothes into drawers, right?)

Since Nassau is a suite-style residence hall, a bathroom is contained within each suite. Those who are placed in Nassau Hall will be sharing a bathroom with 5 other students, at most.

The Main Lounge of Nassau Hall features a television and a piano -- perfect for residents who want a temporary distraction from study sessions.

Nassau Hall's Recreation Lounge features table tennis as well as pool and foosball tables. Indoor bicycle storage is also available here.

These seating areas are located throughout Nassau Hall. Here, residents have been known to play cards (not for money, naturally) and assemble puzzles. Some residents prefer to study in these types of lounges, too.

Even laundry is enjoyable in Nassau Hall, as evidenced by these happy residents. There's no need to hunt for quarters -- you pay for laundry services through your housing fees.

The Nassau Hall kitchen is equipped with basic amenities -- a microwave, oven, and stove.

Most current students would tell you that parking is more plentiful in the South Village. This view of a nearby parking lot was taken from the loading dock entrance of Nassau Hall.
